Why Fast & What are the benefits?

Intermittent Fasting is a practice of eating only during certain hours of the day and having usually a minimum of 16 hours without food while you are doing intermittent fasting.

Before getting into the article, it's important to note that not all of these athletes did intermittent fasting throughout their entire career, some only started once retired. Additionally some athletes specifically said they would not fast during training or during competition, some did. It's important to think of Intermittent Fasting as a tool that works differently for different people and not as a blanket rule where it's optimum at al times for everyone.

If you want to find out more about intermittent fasting, look no further. The purpose of this article is not to explain or justify it - simply to share which athletes do intermittent fasting and why they say they do it!
